ReThink Solution Services, LLC is dedicated to providing special education services that generate demonstrable academic achievement and positive outcomes for students, regardless of their learning obstacles or other challenges they may face. As, a Special Education Consulting Company with the mission of advancing all aspects of student learning and well-being by building the capacity of educators, ancillary staff and leadership to assess, plan for, and achieve student success across domains. Throughout Michigan ReThink Solution Services provides actionable improvement support to school districts as we work as their partner to serve their students with disabilities and/or suspected of having a disability.

ReThink Solution Services History

ReThink Solution Services is a company committed to providing special education programs and/or services to at-risk students. We partner with several school districts to improve areas of difficulty and emphasize areas of natural aptitude through a compassionate educational experience for all special education students, by meeting their individualized needs across all facets of their development — academic, speech and language, fine motor, behavioral, social, and emotional, etc. We bring more than 15 years of expertise directly to schools by providing cost-effective, comprehensive special education programs and/or services that promotes success in the classroom and beyond.

ReThink Solution Services staff are committed to ensuring high levels of learning for each and every student. We recognize that every student has unique individual needs. Our Professional Certified and Licensed Staff provide programs and/or services that meet the academic, physical, social, behavioral and emotional needs of every student so that each student has equal opportunities to succeed and become a contributing member of society. ReThink Solution Services has a philosophy that all students should be included and that ALL means ALL.

The special education staff at ReThink Solution Services, LLC consists of special education teachers, school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, school social workers, occupational therapists, special education directors and special education coordinators. We pride ourselves on working seamlessly with teachers, parents and administrators using curriculum based approaches.

Our staff of professionals provides all programs and services in your school buildings during school hours. Our special education team provides various academic and clinical services such as resource support, speech-language and school social work therapy, etc. They also conduct evaluations for all suspected educational impairments and they utilize a creative approach of treatment to stimulate student motivation, maintain written documentation on each student receiving services, participate MTSS/RTI process, conduct class room observations, convene and participates in IEP meetings and conferences with parents, teachers and administrators, etc.

Our Special Education Teachers work with students who have academic, cognitive, emotional, medical and/or physical disabilities, etc. They adapt general education lessons and teach various subjects to students as outlined in their IEP’s. Additionally, our special education teachers work collaboratively with the general education classroom teachers to establish goals and objectives, while incorporating the Common Core Standards to enable the students to work at his or her maximum level of academic performance.

Our Speech Pathologist provides speech therapy to address the needs of students with communication disabilities, such as impairments in language, speech, and voice. Typically, the SLP will screen, identify, assess, and diagnose disorder of language, articulation, fluency, voice, and oral-pharyngeal function.

Our School Social Worker are trained mental health professionals who in the school setting assist with mental health concerns, behavioral concerns, positive behavioral support, academic, and classroom support, consultation with teachers, parents, and administrators as well as provide individual and group counseling/therapy. Our school social workers are instrumental in furthering the mission of the schools with whom we partner with to provide a setting for teaching, learning, and for the attainment of competence and confidence.

Our School Psychologist are trained professionals who work to identify, address and overcome learning and behavioral needs in school-aged children. They provide in-depth psychological services with the goal of helping students succeed academically, socially, behaviorally and emotionally. Additionally, our school psychologist Identify and assess the learning and environmental factors of individuals and groups to facilitate adjustment. They use psychological and psych-educational data about a student in developing appropriate interventions and programs and they conduct assessments that align with professional standards. They also explain laws, policies, and regulations related to services and programs for students, parents, teachers, and administrators. Moreover, they meet and collaborate with all interested parties to develop individual education plans designed to promote students’ educational, physical, and social development.

Our Occupational Therapist focus on the student’s ability to perform in the school environments supporting the student’s participation, work productivity, self-care, and the ability to adapt or modify to the task or environment. Other therapeutic techniques include practicing motor skills such as writing numbers and letters, typing and playing, as well as, developing and implementing innovative methods for analyzing and breaking down tasks for students with functional deficits.

Our Special Education Director plan, administer, and assess the effectiveness of short-term and long-term services for learning or otherwise disabled students. Determine educational standards and goals for special services programs. They set policies and procedures for special education teachers and ancillary staff who are providing programs and/or services to special education students and they utilize multiple sources of data to assess special education staff effectiveness. Additionally, they provide special education leadership that creates implements, maintains, and enhances achievement for students with disabilities. Also, they assist in the development of positive relationships between parents and students with disabilities by helping parents better understand their children’s unique needs and provide support where needed. They also review federal and state legislation/regulations related to special services (including special education/title program/pupil services) identify and share the impact of changes on the building and district level to maintain compliance at the federal/state and county level. They also develop, plan, coordinate, and conduct in-service and professional development activities and interpret special education mandates, to formulate policies and procedures for the district and implement procedural safeguards. They also support administrators, special education, and general education staff.
